Our grant cycle opens on April 1st and closes on June 30th of each year. Questions concerning
the grant application should be directed to amanda@coosavalley-rcd.org or call 256-253-2454.
All grants must close out before July 15th of each year.
FY 2023-2025 Priorities
The Board of Directors of Coosa Valley RC&D Council have established the following priorities as a tool to utilize for the next three years. Our approach is not to identify every activity we will carry out in
service to our mission, but rather to identify the greatest opportunities to grow and improve how
we deliver on that mission. When reviewing grant applications, the applications that will take
priority are the applications that fall under the priorities set by the Board of Directors of Coosa
Valley RC&D Councils. The FY 2023-2025 Priorities are as follows:
- General Funds
A. Projects related to Natural Resources Conservation
B. Community Facilities and Services
C. Economic Growth and Development - Education Funds
A. K-12 Outdoor Education
B. Education to Benefit Small Farmers and/or Community Gardens, etc.
C. Youth Life Skills Development
D. Workforce/Career Training - Other Considerations
A. Projects that benefit multiple counties within our area
B. Projects that focus on creating safer environments
C. Projects that support addiction treatment centers
D. Projects that focus on recycling
