Grant Information

FY 2025 GRANT APPLICATION

How Are Grants Chosen?

Requirement: Project location must be within the eleven county area that we serve and align with our mission

Eligibility: Must be a registered 501c3 not-for-profit or unit or sub-unit of government

The Council Members for each county review and score each application considering things including but not limited to community need, public support, location, number of people affected, and partnerships.

The Board of Directors of Coosa Valley RC&D Council have established these priorities as a tool to
utilize for the next three years. Our approach is not to identify every activity we will carry out in
service to our mission, but rather to identify the greatest opportunities to grow and improve how
we deliver on that mission. When reviewing grant applications, the applications that will take
priority are the applications that fall under the priorities set by the Board of Directors of Coosa
Valley RC&D Councils. The FY 2023-2025 Priorities are as follows:

  1. General Funds
    A. Projects related to Natural Resources Conservation
    B. Community Facilities and Services
    C. Economic Growth and Development
  2. Education Funds
    A. K-12 Outdoor Education
    B. Education to Benefit Small Farmers and/or Community Gardens, etc.
    C. Youth Life Skills Development
    D. Workforce/Career Training
  3. Other Considerations
    A. Projects that benefit multiple counties within our area
    B. Projects that focus on creating safer environments
    C. Projects that support addiction treatment centers
    D. Projects that focus on recycling
